"What about your career?"

I have to chuckle for a moment. I'm sitting here playing with little A while going over the past year in my head, and I'm remembering a question I was asked by a gentleman upon hearing I was pregnant, "What about your career? What are you going to do about your career?"

Well, I guess the answer is… I'm still singing and designing and everything else! But I now have a little one who comes along...sometimes. And, as I told the audience last night, having a little one has opened up a brand new world of dreams and fears and emotions which encourages me to grow as a person and ultimately as a performer. So, I suppose having a child was a wonderful addition to my career as I will be learning and growing throughout this entire journey and if that is something I can share in my performances and designs, then I am a lucky lady!
